Warehousing and Storage : Loading Vehicles

The loading and unloading of vehicles can be dangerous. Heavy, awkward and unstable loads plus the movement of vehicles and drivers working at height to secure and lash loads can all lead to serious injuries or even death.

The loading and unloading of vehicles must always be subject to a risk assessment. The risk assessment should consider the following factors and in turn put in place controls where the risk is judged unacceptable...
