Health & Safety responsibilities outlined are an indication of the many important points involved, but are not intended to be definitive or all embracing, and should be interpreted as general guidelines within the overall responsibilities of employees.
At all times employees should be aware of the general provisions of the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act 1974 and within these must ensure that working practices, operation of machines, equipment, etc. and the carrying out of duties comply with all requirements. In any case of doubt, lack of knowledge or uncertainty as to responsibility, an immediate supervisor should be asked for guidance and, in turn, should obtain advice as appropriate to ensure that any query is satisfactorily cleared.
