Dress Code Policy

The kind of business you run and the impressions you wish to convey to visitors will influence your decision to introduce a Dress Code.  Consultation with staff is essential to deal with difficulties that you may encounter regarding sex, race, religion, disability etc.  It is good practice to issue a set of General Rules which may cover what clothing is and is not appropriate within the workplace.  If any specialist clothing is required in the workplace then the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992 should be incorporated into your dress code.
