Consider this An employer was found guilty of breaching health and safety law by failing to maintain a hot water boiler, which exploded, fatally injuring two people, an employee and a contractor. An engineer employed by an insurance company was also convicted, of failing to carry out an examination of a boiler pressure relief valve. The Crown Court fined the employer a total of £150,000 and ordered payment of £125,000 in costs. The engineer was fined £1000 plus costs of £250.We all have a duty of care - Good Health & Safety is indeed Good Business!
